Flu Clinic information for those patients aged Younger than 65 years.

The Government recommends that this group of patients have the Quadrivalent Vaccine.  This is the same vaccine that we used last year.  This year the manufacturer has made us aware of a delay with getting the vaccine to Practices, please see below:

“The World Health Organization (WHO) took a decision to delay the selection of the A/H3N2 strain of flu notification by one month. This has had an effect on the manufacturing timelines and will impact the vaccine time to market. Distribution will therefore commence a few weeks later than last season”

We will receive staggered deliveries of the vaccine during October and November.  We think we will have sufficient vaccines in order to run a clinic at the end of October.

All the doctors are approved to care for you during your pregnancy and delivery. This care may be shared with a consultant at the hospital, with your own GP and the practice attached midwife. The midwife, with whom we work closely, holds ante-natal clinics at the health centre on a Wednesday morning. Please ask at reception for details. The midwife will also consider requests for home deliveries as long as the circumstances are favourable.

All the doctors and nurses provide a full family planning service.
